Hello , 

My name is Michael Strickland owner and licensed massage and bodywork therapist (LMBT)

Here is a little back story on me. I have worked manufacturing over half my life. I threw my back out at age 19 slipping 2 of my lumbar disc. As doctors looked at they wanted to do surgery in which I refused. I was pit through physical therapy which gave me 85% of my mobility back, a massage therapist that worked for the physical therapist gave me their card and stated they might be able to help. After a couple of sessions I was able to get 95% of mobility back.i got married to my beautiful wife and have 4 amazing kids. I ended up wanting to go to school for massage therapy in 2002. As I continued to work in manufacturing and doing massage part time as I could.  2009 when tge manufacturing started shutting down It opened me to be able to do massage full time. As I worked in spas I felt like a robot over and over the same techniques. I was hungry for more knowledge cause I had seen what it could do for me. I eventually ended up working with a chiropractic group in Florence SC with a doctor and a nurse practitioner. I was able to learn target work using integrated techniques to reach better goals for clients. I got certified in medical massage in 2019 and started using those skills to help others with pain issues. I opened my own place in 2023. I whole heartedly got into this field to try and help others that work hard and have to work through pain as issues arise. That's a little insight of my background.
